Master Bathroom Design in 2017

CHIC CONSOLE

Designer David Kleinberg based the look of this conventional bathroom's sink-stand onto a French iron console.

CLAW-FOOT TUB

In a Palm Beach house, the master bath walls are painted a habit watery blue. Homeowner Liza Pulitzer Calhoun picked the cast-iron claw-foot bathtub because it feels "so favorable."

CONCRETE TUB

In a Palm Beach condominium, designer Vicente Wolf placed the cast-concrete tub on a slab within the glass shower stall to create it "a sculptural focal point."

ORANGE ACCENTS

Pagoda mirrors give "a little jolt" to the master bath in this Bahamas home, made by Amanda Lindroth.

DARK STAIN

Sheathed in dark-stained walnut with easy cabinetry, the master bath has the appearance of a rustic retreat within this Alabama home, made by Susan Ferrier.

BLACK TILES

In the grand shower of this modern beach house, the walls are clad in dark ceramic tiles which soar as much as a wall-to-wall skylight. An integrated niche stores other necessities and shampoo.

Frameless Shower Doors

DUELING SINKS

In a California beach bungalow made by Chad Eisner, symmetrical sinks flank the sides of the master bathroom.

FRESH WHITES

Designer Lindsey Coral Harper upgraded a North Carolina house's master bathroom by adding Carrara marble tiles and glazing the tub white.

TEXTURED FLOOR

Within her light-filled ranch house, photographer Amy Neunsinger combined an elegant claw-foot bath with a casual woven carpet.
